SILVER VALLEY SUN CLUB POLICY & BEHAVIORAL GUIDELINES

 

REGISTRATION:    All persons are required to register and show valid identification on entrance.  Members and previous registered guests must use the sign-in sheet located in our clubhouse.

 

CLOTHING:    Although we are a clothing-optional resort, clothing is not permitted while in the water.  All other activities are clothing-optional.  There are a few exceptions to clothing-options, e.g., health reasons, sun protection, etc.  Nudist etiquette requires everyone to carry a towel to sit on when nude.

 

BEHAVIOR:  The rules are based on common sense and consideration for others.  Conduct requiring no apology is expected.  While casual body contact is permissible, overt sexually explicit behavior or conversation is not.  Excessive use of alcohol leading to obnoxious or belligerent behavior is not permitted.  Drugs and firearms are expressly prohibited.  Mom's Golden Rule: "Be nice, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all... walk away".  Please inform management of any problems so we can solve them.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY:    No one will be photographed without explicit permission.  Children may not be photographed without a written consent form and presence of at least one parent or legal guardian.  We have a club photographer.  No camera, videography or photography allowed for any purpose without the explicit permission and supervision of management.

 

SPEED LIMIT:  Within our gate, the speed limit is 5 MPH--- which goes for all vehicles, golf carts, bicycles... anything that moves.

 

SAFETY:    No glass is allowed except at your campsite.  No running or horseplay in patio areas.  No diving or jumping in the lake.  NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!  RELAX AND PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!  No horseplay or diving in the water.  Be considerate when using flotation devices.  All glassware, e.g., bottles or plates, brought to the patio shall be kept behind the bar; you will be provided appropriate paper- or plastic-ware to enjoy your sustenance.

 

WATER SPORTS: No lifeguard is on duty.  No swimming is allowed.  However, you may bring your own rafts, floats, or boats (without motors).  An electric air pump is available for your convenience.  Whereas some water toys may be used -with respect to other people and property, no water balloons allowed.

 

SMOKING:    Please observe No Smoking signs where posted.  Please respect "non-smokers' rights not to breathe your smoke, especially in common areas, e.g., the patio and the islands.  Dispose of butts in proper receptacles located throughout the grounds.  Please do not toss, throw, or drop your cigarette butts on the ground.  Help us keep SVSC neat, clean and safe!

 

CAMPSITES:    Sites must be kept neat and orderly at all times. 

 

NOISE:    Our club is a place of peace and relaxation.  Unless approved by management, "Quiet Hours" are from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM, except for event weekends when they are extended to 1:00 AM.

 

TRASH:    Please put your trash in the bin (dumpster) located at the gate entrance.  Please Recycle!  And, help put the appropriate type of material in the correct receptacle, e.g., cans, paper, etc., as designated.

 

CHILDREN & PETS: Parents are responsible for their children'(s)' and/or pet'(s)' proper supervision, safety, and behavior.  A parent or guardian must accompany all children under the age of 18.  Children accompanied by a guardian must have a letter of permission with contact information on file in the SVSC office.  ALL PETS must be leashed or on leaders at all times.  A leader (a "tie out") is only allowed at your campsite.  Barking dogs will not be tolerated.  You are responsible for the care and cleaning up after your children and pet(s).

 

DESERT HIKING: Be on the alert for snakes and scorpions.  Shoes are highly recommended and so is a walking stick.  Be aware of your surroundings and please respect our neighbors' privacy.

 

LIABILTY:    Members and guests use the grounds and facilities at their own risk; thereby, releasing from liability, Silver Valley Sun Club owners, management, and staff.  The Mojave Desert has unique flora & fauna, if you don't know what it is, don't mess with it... ask management.  Please do not interfere with, feed, chase, or tease the wildlife.  Do not leave food or beverages unattended at any time.
